Omigoshhh! I've been waiting for this book like FOR.EVER! I've read the first book CHASE and totally fell in love with KADE! The guy is straight up playboy with the biggest man meat!

Kade... He's your typical alpha male. I liked that he's cocky and so full of himself. lol, but once you get to know him, he's more than just that. He's possessive and protective to all the people he loves. The moment he saw Nikki, man.. he was a goner. They had a one night stand but he wants more.. I liked that he pursued her relentlessly.. didn't give up.. well almost.. but you can tell that he would do anything just to prove to Nikki that he's the one. ^_^
There were times that I wanted to smack him on the head, specially the Ashley issue... He's oblivious.. I mean come onnnn.. for a player who's been fooling around and been with so many women- why didn't he see Ashley's true intentions? grr. It also bugged me that he let Ashley sleep with him and ended up spooning.. I know it was the death anniversary of his best friend (Ashley's brother) and both of them are being emo.. but come onn, really? No one in his right mind would do that specially if you knew that your gf hates her. sigh.
Anyway, despite that.. I still love Kade.. this man right here is straight up possessive cave man hero! Loved that even though he's a playboy and cocky, he's sweet, kind and protective to his love ones.. (and that includes Ashley) double grrrr.
“For fuck's sake, Nikki, I’m not even like that. I want more with you. Yes, the sex is amazing, but I want all of you.”
Nikki on the other hand is not your typical heroine.. She's independent, feisty, honest and brave! She's a refreshing read as I'm not used to reading a heroine like her... and to be honest I didn't really like her in the first book, so when the authors paired my Kade to her.. I was like.. "meh.." and to be honest, I still didn't warm up on Nikki.. She's just too liberal for my taste. I didn't like that she kept pushing Kade away and goes on a date with men... can I say slut? :( Yeah, yeah.. she have some trust issues.. but it was just an ex bf... it want's really a big deal in my opinion. Also when she broke up with Kade.. and quickly move on to Ryder.. I was like.. W.T.F woman! But even though I don't love Nikki, I liked that she's a very loyal friend. The girl can throw a great punch! lol.
At the end of the day, nothing else matters. I want Nikki, by my side. To go to sleep with, wake up with, and everything in between. I know Nikki is the woman for me, now I just need to convince her. To get her to let me in, let me prove myself. Prove my worth.
The story line was great, the repeat scenes in the first chapters was a little boring and slow paced.. but that didn't dampened how I feel about this book. It's an easy read but would make you go through so many emotions while reading this.. heck I know did!! I felt hot and bothered because of the sex scenes.. then my heart melts every time Kade does something for Nikki.. frustrated when Nikki is being stupid.. mad and wanted to bitch slap Ashley.. lol.
The book has ups and downs but overall I highly recommend this book to anyone who's looking for possessive heroes!
Oh.. and the epilogue was nice. It was like an icing on a cake! Now I can't wait for Ryder's story and a little sad that it's just going to be a novella.. :( but anyways, i can't wait!!
