Beauty: REVLON ColorStay Brow Mousse & Revlon ColorStay Exactify Liner

I received a Revlon Brow Mousse and Revlon Liquid Liner Exactify Wheel Tip from @crowdtap for free to review. Thank you guys!

My Thoughts

Revlon ColorStay Brow Mousse

I'm in love with the brow mousse! I normally use powder or pencil for my brows, so I was a little skeptical about this Mousse. It took me a few minutes to really figure out how to open and how the product works.

The packaging is interesting, you have to twist and turn to get the product out. The spoolie brush is kinda different with a coarse bristles.. so in my opinion if you have a sparse thin brows, this probably will not work for you. The spoolie brush needs something to work with and since I already have a full brow, I didn’t have any problem. It’s easy to use and I like that it looks natural on me.

I guess if there’s one thing that I don’t like about this product, it’s probably the applicator. It’s kinda messy and if you don’t use it for a few days, the mousse drys out. Despite all that, overall I like it! It works wonder for a natural looking brow! I'm giving this ⭐⭐⭐⭐

My Thoughts

Revlon ColorStay Exactify Liquid Liner

Now let's go into this interesting Revlon ColorStay Exactify liner! So I can say that I'm pretty good when it comes to winged eyeliner.. I mean, I'm not a pro but I've been doing cat eyes for years.

When I received this exactify liner that has a small wheel (literally!) I was excited! When I opened the product and about to try it on my eyes.. well, I was kinda nervous because I didn't know where to start!

At first it kinda tickles, it felt like I'm holding a small pizza cutter and I'm about to slice up my eyelids.. LOL! Kidding aside, you'll need a steady hand to be able to not fucked it up! Small light strokes works best when applying on the lids.

I like the idea of the wheel because it really does make a straight line.. but since our eyes have a curve shape on it, then it's hard to maneuver this thing. You will need a lot of practice before you get used to the wheel tip liner. The product is buildable but drys out pretty fast so if ever you make a small mistake, its hard to wipe it off without messing whatever eyeshadows you have on. The product is very opaque and it has the semi glossy finish not matte.. which I'm not a big fan. Again, I like the idea of the wheel but I gotta be honest here... this thing is hard to work with! If you didn't make the first line perfect and you'll try to fix that small mistake? Well.. you have to be careful because you might end up with a long 1 inch winged line. LOL! I think this works if you like your winged liner thick(er). As for me, well.. I've been using this wheel liner for a few weeks now and I'm still not used to it. I guess I just need more practice. 😂 My rate for this product would be ⭐.

Beauty: Cover Girl B.B. Cream (Matte)

So I’m not a big fan of using foundations, I don’t like the feel of it on my face. The heaviness, the occasional cake face, the breakouts that clogs my pores that I eventually get this small bumps around my face. So either I don’t use anything or I use this Covergirl Clean Matte B.B. cream. I like that it feels lighter than foundation and I don’t really breakout in this (well.. unless it’s that time of the month where my hormones are wonky I get one or two pimples here and there.. lol!)

But anyways, there's a lot of B.B. cream products out there, throughout the years, B.B creams kinda evolved and some claimed from light to heavy coverage, moisturizer, sunscreen, concealer etc.

This B.B. cream claims:
  • Oil free
  • Won't clog pores
  • Suitable for sensitive skin
  • Last all day
I do have a T-zone oily problem so this Covergirl matte B.B. cream does the job to stay matte on me. I like that this product is oil free, doesn't clog my pore and lightweight. It feels like a tinted moisturizer with a medium coverage but buildable for some spots that need more cover. This doesn’t have any SPF so that’s something to consider before buying this one. But other than that, I like that it doesn’t make me feel heavy, oily or caky!

Overall I’m happy with this B.B. cream and highly recommend this to anyone who hate foundations. For now, I'll be using this B.B cream until I find my holy grail foundation.

Beauty: Castor Oil

I had a long eyelashes.. I remember when I was in elementary, one of my classmate was so jealous of my long lashes.. I was like "YASSSS!" LOL! Anyways, that being said when I got into makeup I was obsessed on using eyelash curler and mascara. I couldn't live without them and let's be honest- usually a dramatic eye look isn't complete without a full long eyelashes right?

Sadly, throughout these years too.. I've noticed that my lashes has become thin and short that using a curler kinda hurts. It didn't really bother me that I was losing my eyelashes, I thought maybe old age? lol... but anyways, that made me stop using an eyelash curler because surprise surprise.. eyelash curler makes your eyelashes fall out! *gasp!* I know right? I just recently found that out. Also I've done some research that allergies to mascara can be one of the reason of hair loss to your lashes. Thinking now, that's probably one of the reason why my lashes now are so sparse and short, if I remember correctly- I've used the same mascaras for a year or two... and the rule of thumb when it comes to mascara is that it only has 3-6 months of use.. So yeah.. I totally fucked! heh!

It was kinda depressing so I did some research on how to regrow your lashes and everyone has been raving about the Castor Oil. Castor Oil is found to be effective in regrowing, thickening lashes and is also capable of preventing them from breaking. It's also helps trigger the growth of your lashes to some places that has not been present. So I went to amazon.. typed in castor oil for lashes.. and BAM! In amazon there is alot to choose from.. different brands what-so-ever but you have to get the organic castor oil. They're not cheap but also not expensive, so I head on and bought one. I thought- it doesn't hurt to try it out.. didn't have any high expectation.. I mean if it doesn't work then it doesn't right?

So here we are now.. I've been using this castor oil for almost 6 weeks, religiously using it every night and I have to be honest.. it WORKS! I've noticed that my lashes looks full and longer than before!

This is after one month.
Sadly I don't have a picture of before using a castor oil (coz as I said earlier, I didn't really have any expectation) and didn't really thought about blogging the whole thing but trust me, my lashes before didn't look like that. LOL!

 Here's a picture with a mascara on.

Overall, I'm quite happy with the results! I mean its not like before when I was a teenager and had full long lashes but definitely a big improvement! I'm going to continue to use this and hopefully it'll become thicker and stronger. :) Oh and I'm still going to use a mascara because I feel incomplete without it when I have my eye make up but I'll skip the eyelash curler. :)

Beauty: MUG Eyeshadows

My Thoughts

Has anyone ever tried Make Up Geek Eyeshadows? I've had these for a few years and been hyped up by the youtubers. It is own by a youtube guru Marlena. I've been a long time subscriber and the moment she came up with MUG eyeshadows- I knew it was worth the try! My problem was she released so many colors I didn't know what to get. Granted, these eyeshadows are cheaper- $6 each but I didn't have a lot of money to buy them all. (lol!) So I was patient and ended up watching a few swatches in youtube, some MUST HAVES videos, MUG eyeshadow tutorials and voìla~ I knew what I wanted to buy!

I'm not a make up artist nor an eyeshadow expert and back then my make up knowledge wasn't there yet and I relied on youtube gurus. When I first saw the swatches, I was like... okaaaayyy.. it looked too good to be true for THAT kind of price! I thought it was so pigmented and creamy it pretty much blew up my mind! As I said, I bought these years ago and years ago- MAC eyeshadows are $10 each pan.. so MUG price is way cheaper and I thought almost as pigmented as the MAC eyeshadows. So I was like.. fuck MAC and hello MUG! 😆 Well just FYI incase you didn't know yet (which probably you already know!) MAC eyeshadow refill pan is the same price as the MUG eyeshadow now. So price range isn't the issue anymore right? 👀

ANYWAYS, back then I thought MUG eyeshadows is "kinda" closest thing to MAC eyeshadows.. (I said, kinda!) because now after years of learning about make up products (don't get me wrong, I'm still no expert!) I'd say, MUG eyeshadows isn't as perfect as the MAC eyeshadows. Yes its buttery, yes its creamy and yes it claimed to be cruelty-free but sadly I find that some eyeshadows are hard to blend with brushes and doesn't last long. 😐

Don't get me wrong, they aren't bad, I liked that MUG has some interesting unique colors that you probably won't see anywhere. Make Up Geek is a growing company that now they have blushes, powder, brushes, lips etc. pretty much everything you could think of!

So is it worth it? Make Up Geek eyeshadows isn't perfect but for the price and shade ranged I'd say yes, its worth the try!

My favorites are: shimma shimma, corrupt (the most blackest eyeshadow), crème brulee, frappé and cocoa bear. I didn't get all the shades, I pretty much bought neutral shades just to be safe LOL!

PRODUCT REVIEW: FitTea

My Thoughts

I received this FitTea 14 Day Detox from Influenster to test and review. If you're not a member of Influenster, I would suggest to do so. I just joined recently and its actually interesting. You review and share your honest opinions on things that you've used or currently using- like beauty products, hair products, skincare, snacks etc. Boost your impact to be able to get a chance to receive a VoxBox. As for me, I received a Flourish VoxBox and it has goodies inside for me to try and give my honest reviews.

Make sense? If you're still a little confused, I suggest to check it out: www.influenster.com/r/3693714

So on to this FitTea I received from Influenster.
It's a tea (well.. obviously! lol.) It claim so many things:

  • Fit Tea Lowers Hunger for Up to 4-6 Hours. Purifies the Body from Waste and Toxins
  • Made From the Highest Quality 100% Herbal Ingredients. Fatburner
  • Boosts Metabolism and is a Natural Appetite Suppressant.
  • Helps to Get Rid of Excess Water, Helps to Reduce Stress, Supports Immune System
  • Pleasant & Smooth Taste, Highly Effective, Works Great for Both Men and Women.
I gotta say, its pretty much true. For one, this FitTea gave me energy boost! I feel like I could do 100 push ups, run miles and do cartwheel after that.. lol! It also does curve my appetite a little bit. When usually I want to snack on something by mid day, I don't feel the urge to do that anymore. I also noticed that I lost a few pounds.. but not sure if FitTea was the reason or because I cut back a lil bit on rice. haha! Regarding the taste.. well it taste and smell kinda strong. I suggest to put a teaspoon of honey or squeeze a lemon for better taste. For me, I like to add honey and after few days of drinking this, I got used to the taste and it doesn't bother me anymore. (I actually kinda like it now!) 😋

So overall, does it work? We're all different people, body might not react the same as the other.
For me though, this FitTea is great! I'd say, it will work if you used it as part of your healthy living lifestyle. Drink FitTea, exercise, workout, move your asseat healthy and cut back on junk foods. 😁

It's always nice to get a lil something for free...

My Thoughts

Last week, I bought the Tarte Tarteist pro palette (thanks to all the beauty youtubers for recommending this palette!) from Macys. I wasn't really planning on buying anything but Macys was having a free shipping +15% off on any cosmetic/beauty products in their website, so I was like okay.. I'm just gonna browse and see what they got. 3
30 mins later, I'm putting Tarteist pro eye palette in my cart!

They were also giving away a tarte make up bag, small sample of tarte mascara and tarte loose powder so I was a goner! I hit that check out button so fast I got a whiplash! LOL.
A big surprise was when it came and I opened the package, they also included some sample of perfumes and a small Bare Mineral Pro foundation. I'm excited about that coz I haven't really tried any bareMineral foundation. So.. YAY!

I'm not really a hoarder but I like getting these little samples to try out. Its like, trying it out first, see if it works or not and buy a full size if you dig it!
I guess what I really appreciate here was that I wasn't expecting these little samples, it was a surprise for me. So yeah...

Thank you Macys! 😙

Beauty: Kat Von D Shade & Light Palette

My Thoughts

I picked this Kat Von D palette few years ago and just fell in love with it! This palette is so creamy and so pigmented! It's a mix of neutral, warm, cool matte colors that every time I look at it makes me feel inspired to make something different.

If you want to invest in a matte palette, I highly recommend this one!

Beauty: My MAC palette.

So I've been building my own customize MAC palette. As you can see- I'm leaning more towards neutral, warm, brown colors. Not really a big fan of crazy bright ones, because if I'll be honest.. pretty sure I'm not gonna use them on my normal everyday life! LOL!

Going to MAC store was intimidating, they have a gazillions of eyeshadow colors that I had a little panic attack. When I first went in the store, I didn't know what to get and I didn't want to bother the make up artist/sales person. So what I did after that was go home and researched... and I mean by that is watched beauty gurus in youtube for their top favorite MAC eyeshadows. That helped me a lot, I listed all the eyeshadows that they mentioned and that's pretty much how I knew what I want.

It took me a few years to collect them as we know, MAC eyeshadows aren't cheap! I didn't want to buy 15-20 of them in one day! So what I did was buy one or two eyeshadows a every month.. and here we are now!

My Thoughts

So was it worth my money and time? I would say FUCK YES! MAC eyeshadows are so pigmented and beautiful! (Well the ones I picked are worth every penny!) hehe! My favorite ones are Brown Scripts, Chocolate Swiss and Satin Taupe. It took me awhile to collect them and to be honest with you, I'm so in love with these eyeshadows that I'll be buying more in the near future!

Yes, its a pricey investment but if you have the money and you're a makeup lover then go get a few MAC eyeshadows to test it out! :)
