BOOK REVIEW: Jet (Marked Men #2) by Jay Crownover

Jet by Jay Crownover
Series: Marked Men #2
Genres: Contemporary Romance, New Adult
Publication Date: May 28, 2013
My Rating: ♥♥♥
With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl’s rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn’t want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet’s dark, haunted eyes. She’s afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.

Jet can’t resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he’s tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.

Will the blaze burn into an enduring love. . . or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes?

My Thoughts

Ayden...

First of all, I want to say that I'm a big fan of the first book RULE and ever since I've been following this author for her next release. I was really looking forward to this book.. as in really looking forward!!! I had high expectations for Jet but unfortunately it was an okay book for me... and the main reason for this is because of Ayden.

I didn't really like her at all. She was too fcking dramatic about her "old self". She keep saying "You don't really know me at all" and to be honest I'm like "bitch! I don't give a fck!"

The way she push Jet away just because of her issues of "old me, new me"  it was getting old to the point that I feel so hateful towards her character. Don't get me wrong, I love reading damaged characters but I have no love for annoying/stupid heroines like her. She frustrate me so much that by the end of the book, I feel that she doesn't deserve Jet.

Ayden and Jet as a love theme was okay but I didn't really feel any sort of connection to them.
Yes, the sexual tension was there but their love story was just okay.. and I didn't really wanted it to be just okay... you get me? lol. I wanted the intense chemistry I felt with Rule and Shaw. sigh.

I love Jet, no issues with him what so ever. He's amazing from the beginning until the end and I didn't understand why he likes Ayden... seriously I don't get ittttt!

There were some drama in here, but nothing really special angst that triggered or squeezed my heart.
Overall, didn't love or hate this book.. It was just a downer because I've been waiting  for this book forever and wasn't quite as good as the first book.

Despite my rants.. this is still a must read! Jet is a well written book with lots of sexual tension and great secondary characters that you would love. We also get to see more of Rule and Shaw that made this more enjoyable to read.

Now I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, titled ROME and it will be Rome and Cora's story!

About the Author
I'm supposed to share interesting details about myself so that my readers get to know me so here we go in no particular order: I'm an natural redhead even though I haven't seen my real hair color in years, I'm a big fan of tattoos and have a half sleeve on either arm and various other pieces all over the place, I've been in the bar industry since I was in college and it has always offered interesting insight into how men and women interact with each other, I have 3 dogs that are all crazy, I live in Colorado and love the snow, I love music and in all reality wish I could be a rock star not a writer or a bartender but I have zero talent so there is that.
I love to write, love to read and all I'm interested in is a good story with interesting characters that make the reader feel something.
