Amazing debut novel!
Sabrina.. wow, what can I say to this heroine? I usually favor the hero over the heroine but in here- I love, love, love Sabrina! She's just an amazing character! I thought she was going to be the whinny-cannot-make-up-her-mind kinda heroine but I was darn wrong!
Weak but strong... insecure but confident. She's nice but won't take crap from anyone.
She's unsure of herself but not to the point that I wanted to strangle her. It just made her look so real that made her so loveable. The way Sabrina handled Lisa was fuckntastic! I was waiting for the confrontation and she did great! I was like "hell yeah! take that bitch!!" :)
"Because wherever you are, is where I want to be. You can take all the time you need to think, but I'm not giving up. You and I... we belong together and I'll wait for however long it takes because I love you"
Tyler.. rawr~ hot, sexy, tatted bad boy! I loved him until the few pages of the book.. (I don't want to put any spoilers) he totally redeemed himself (which is important) but I just couldn't believe he did that.
Actually all the characters here are amazing.. I love Julia (Sabrina's best friend) How I wish I have a bff like her. She's so funny and witty! Sabrina's parents specially her mom was great, reminds me of my own mom! lol. Heck! Even Julia the bitch, stupid Chris and slutty Ava are so hateful that I wanted to jump in the book and just smack the shit out of them!
Promise Me is a well written story! It's flawless with great pace that flows right throughout the book. This is an amazing debut novel and will be waiting for the next book from this author!
Now I'm wondering if Julia will get her own story hmm?
