BOOK REVIEW: Razer's Ride (The Last Riders #1) by Jamie Begley

Razer's Ride by Jamie Begley
Series: The Last Riders #1
Genres: Contemporary Romance, Erotic
Publication Date: Jun 9, 2013
My Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
Beth Cornett is the town good girl, so staying out of the way of the motorcycle club’s dangerous members was a no brainer. Unfortunately, she manages to catch the eye of Razer, who has every intention of tempting her to take him on despite her misgivings. When her worst fears are realized, she is left heartbroken, determined to forget her walk on the wild side.

Razer was not going to change for any woman, not even Beth. Their lifestyles were too different; betrayed she ran. Realizing his mistake too late; she was not about to forgive and forget. It takes a killer intent on targeting Beth to bring her back to him and The Last Riders for protection. Razer may have learned his lesson, but this time, as long as she is at the club, she has to play by their rules.

My Thoughts

“Why do you think they call me Razer?”
“Because you like to shave?”

I'm obsessed with MC stories with sexy alpha men and to be honest there's only few MC books out there that is worth reading and Razer's Ride is one of them!

This is my first read from this author and yes it has some writing errors but the plot is engaging with great characters! I have a love and hate relationship with Razer... he does some shitty things, yet I LOVE HIM! Beth on the other hand is a great character from the beginning. She's innocent, pure and likeable and so glad that the author didn't make her a dumb fuck like some other MC heroines that I've read before. lol.

The rules of the club is quite shocking.. there are eight original members, and for the women who wants to become a member of the club you have to fuck at least six of the original members.. I'm like.. W.T.F!!!
Once you're a member, they get their own nickname and it's given when you're good at something. Well go figure why our hero gets the nick name RAZER. lol.

They also have this customary friday party in the MC house where they get drunk, and fuck all night long. Club members share sexual relationship, of course non of them are forced but it was still kinda disturbing.
But I have to admit, the little scene with Razer, Beth and Rider was hot! ^_^

The book is steamy. Sex scenes are hot and explicit, it was hot as shit when Razer talks dirty!
I was pleasantly surprised that there was a lot of funny moments- like the girl's night out with The Pink Slipper was hilarious... It was like watching a Jerry Springer show! lol

Razer's Ride is the first book in The Last Riders series so we get to introduce to a lot of  the MC members. I'm crossing my fingers that the eight original members will get their HEA story!

Overall I give this a big fat 5 stars! This is a must read and a great start for a new series! Razer's Ride is one hell of a ride! It's fascinating, sexy, raw, gritty, disturbing and a little suspense thrown in it! It's not your average love story.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! It's awesome and cannot wait for Lily and Shades story!!!

About the Author

I was born in a small town in Kentucky. My family began poor, but worked their way to owning a restaurant. My mother was one of the best cooks I have ever known, and she instilled in all her children the value of hard work, and education.

Taking after my mother, I’ve always love to cook, and became pretty good if I do say so myself. I love to experiment and my unfortunate family has suffered through many. They now have learned to steer clear of those dishes. I absolutely love the holidays and my family put up with my zany decorations.

For now, my days are spent at work and I write during the nights and weekends. I have two children who both graduate next year from college. My daughter does my book covers, and my son just tries not to blush when someone asks him about my books.

Currently I am writing three series of books- The Last Riders that is fairly popular, The Dark Souls series, which is not, and The VIP Room, which we will soon see. My favorite book I have written is Soul Of A Woman, which I am hoping to release during the summer of 2014. It took me two years to write, during which I lost my mother, and brother. It’s a book that I truly feel captures the true depths of love a woman can hold for a man. In case you haven’t figured it out yet, I am an emotional writer who wants the readers to feel the emotion of the characters they are reading. Because of this, Teased is probably the hardest thing I have written.

All my books are written for one purpose- the enjoyment others find in them, and the expectations of my fans that inspire me to give it my best. In the near future I hope to take a weekend break and visit Vegas that will hopefully be next summer. Right now I am typing away on Knox’s story and looking forward to the coming holidays. Did I mention I love the holidays?
