I think Tessa Bailey is becoming one of my favorite authors. She never failed to disappoint me, I just can't get enough of this series! The heroes in Line of Duty series are all so alpha possessive, sexy panty ripping men and couldn't just help but fall in love with them all!
Officer Off Limits is the third book in the Line of Duty series and it's about Daniel and Story.
Daniel is a hostage negotiator and a man-whore. He was raised in a foster homes and been passed around between overcrowded homes. He grown up without the benefit of parental guidance and because of this, his entire youth had no sense of direction. Because of his past, He felt no self worth, and learned to earn approval through casual sex...
Story is a kindergarten teacher and been dump by her fiance two weeks before the wedding. In a seafood restaurant.. and she didn't like seafood. Then at the same night, she got a call from a doctor informing her that her dad Jack (estranged father) has had a heart attack and she is listed as his next of a kin. She decided to go to New York and see her father, after all she needed a break and lick her wounds...
“You know, I could have sworn you were going to pick the trail mix.”
“Oh, yeah? Why is that?”
“Because you’re both full of shit.”
Daniel and Story are great characters! Daniel is a man whore. lol. He's sexy alpha possessive man. He's the
man your mothers warn their daughters to stay away. But behind his playboy tough exterior, he has a dark broken past.. throughout the book, you get to know him more and you wouldn't help but fall in love with him.
I liked that even though Jack (story's father and his mentor) told him that she's off limits, Daniel tried to resist her but his resolve weakens every time Story is near with her sexual provocative. He.was.a.goner. LOL.
Story is a likeable witty,smart mouthed heroine. I liked that she's strong but sweet, confident but unsure.
She just got dumped by her fiancee and thinks that Daniel is just what she needs to recover but didn't plan on to falling in love with him.
The interaction between these two are hilarious which makes the story so fun and entertaining!
I think it's cute that Daniel calls her sunshine and Story calls him Trail mix! lol.
You get the instant connection and I had a hard time putting the book down. The humor was great and I love the push and pull between these two that kept me turning pages! Oh and gotta love Jack! I thought he was going to be a big problem in this book, but heck that was a surprising turn in the story.
There were a lot of funny moments in here, the banter between the guys was quite entertaining to read. The sex scenes are effing HOT!! Gotta love the man with his dirty talks.
I don't know how Tessa Bailey does it, but each series gets getting better and better. She never cease to amaze me.. seriously this author has a gift for writing, she is just amazing!
I'm gonna say this again, this is a must read series! If you're obsessed with alpha possessive males, then this series is for you! The book almost had everything: romance, hot panty steamy sex, alpha guys and suspense!
Now I cannot wait for the next book.. lol, maybe it's going to be Brent and Hayden?
