Her friend. Her boss. Her husband?
Betsy Harris has always known Jace Macnamara was off-limits. Not only is he a close friend, he also happens to be her boss—making him doubly forbidden. Betsy’s too timid to ever admit her crush, nor ‘fess up to the fact that she’s secretly drowning in her mother’s medical bills.
Jace just found out he needs a wife and needs one now. His childhood home—the last reminder he has of his deceased parents—can only become his if he gets married, but Jace, ever the playboy, never dreamed of settling down for real. Neither Betsy nor Jace wants to ruin their friendship when their fake marriage inevitably ends, so they vow to keep things light, professional, easy. But as Betsy comes out of her shell, Jace begins to see his “wife” for the beautiful, caring woman she is. Can he risk their past for a future together?
My Thoughts
Just My Luck is a little predictable, but I think this is my favorite out of Shamrock Fall series!
Betsy pays for her mother care and falling behind on payments! When Jace talks to her with a ridiculous proposition and in return offers her money, she just couldn't refused it! I like Betsy, she's your typical shy, insecure heroine but throughout the story she became confident and came out of her shell.
Jace on the other hand is one sexy man! He makes me want to rawr! lol. I've been waiting for his story and was not disappointed! He's confident but a little unsure when it comes to Betsy. I just love this guy!!!
The story is well written and easy read. Heartwarming, sweet romantic story that would make you feel giddy inside! There were not much drama going on but you would enjoy the character development of the two. It was fun to read Jace POV specially when he realized he fell in love with Betsy. :)
This can read as a standalone, but I highly recommend to read the whole series!
Overall, this is a must read if your a fan of Shamrock Falls series!
I received this book from Entangled Publishing, LLC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
