After publicly self-destructing over a heartbreak a year ago, bestselling romance writer Piper James is now making nice with her publisher by agreeing to teach Hollywood's favorite action star how to act like he's in love.

Only playboy Mick Blackwell has no clue what love looks like. When a seductive heat ignites between Piper and Mick, she jumps at the chance for a bit of fun between the sheets, but with two stipulatons: she's kept out of the public eye and things end when she returns to New York.

Only Mick keeps changing the rules on her. Tempted by America's favorite bad boy, Piper is wondering how far she's willing to bend...

My Thoughts

When I saw this on netgalley I didn't hesitate to request it. Loved the cover, it's sexy yet sweet!

Piper is strong, sexy, smart and witty! Her publisher almost dropped her because of the public break up. She was labeled as a woman scorned and the scandal almost ruined her career. But after a year, she has finally reached back on top as her latest novel will be on the big screen. Piper has been asked to help coach the main leading star in the movie, Mick Blackwell.

Mick is voted the sexiest man in America. He has a successful career as an action star but couldn't rely on romance department because he had none. His expertise with women was getting them in his bed and out of it as soon as possible. No romance. No relationship. No love. He needs Piper to get him into the character... So it begins the perfect duo...

Okay, even though I'm not emotionally invested in the story, it has a solid plot that had the right amount of hotness and drama! I thoroughly liked the main characters, they were interesting specially Mick. The story line is well written and there were a lot of hot scenes that made me want to fan my face! The sexual tension was all over the book, Piper and Mick had an instant chemistry, the moment they met it was like a bang!

I'm a big fan of Entangled Publishing so I kinda had high expectation for this book and I'm so glad it did not disappoint me!

Overall Playing the Part is an easy read! It's fun, sexy steamy romance that I thoroughly enjoyed!
This is my first read from this author and will definitely read her other books in the near future!

I received this book from Entangled Publishing, LLC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
