BOOK REVIEW: Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

Beautiful Disaster by
Genres: Romance, Young Adult
My Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
INTENSE. DANGEROUS. ADDICTIVE.

Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants—and needs—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

My Thoughts

This is the first book I read that has a possessive hero. Travis. Ohhh Travis, just typing his name makes me feel tingly. I honestly couldn't put this book down. I was so hooked to the story I ended up sleeping around 5am, woke up at 8am and started reading again. One way to describe Travis? DISASTER. hehe. He's a sexy, bad boy, tattooed and rebellious! Like what your Dad always reminds you to stay away, that's TRAVIS. Alot of people didn't like the story specially the hero, He was too violent and an asshole. It's either you hate him or love him. I think one of the reason why this book was a success was because of TRAVIS.

Now on to the heroine... Abby. Oh how I wish I was Abby. I like her character, but there were times when I just hated her. lol. I think she is kinda dense, I mean come on... How can she not know that Travis was in love with her?! She put him in the friend zone, and I felt really bad for Travis. I wanted to pull her hair out!
Then when they slept together, the same day she accepted to go on a date with Parker... I'm like... wtf?!

But over all, this is a great book, I will not change anything about it. lol. I think Ms. McGuire is genius for making this story and will be looking forward to her other books.

Hold on tight because This book is a roller coaster ride!
