Maggie is a wolf shifter who was captured and experimented on by the Kurjans. Now that a cure has finally been found for shifters (although not for vampire mates or witches), she can concentrate on creating a new life for herself and finally accepting that her memories are gone forever. Most memories, that is. Sometimes in the hazy world between dreams and dawn, she hears a Scottish voice, dark and deep, that sounds suspiciously like wolf-shifter Terrent Vilks. A man she happened to anger by kidnapping a few years back. Hey, it was for a good cause.
Terrent Vilks knows more than he’s let on for the past several years. After digging for answers, he knows exactly why the demons want Maggie dead. And he remembers his past with Maggie…very well. She is finally where he wants her. Now all he has to do is discover what exactly the Kurjans did to her, beat the demons into so much submission they leave her alone, and get her to fall in love with him. Again. Good thing he’s used to wrangling monsters.

“What do you want from me?”
“I want you to remember me from before you were kidnapped ten years ago.”
“I knew you?”
“Yes.”
Maggie is a wolf shifter with no memories. She'd been kidnapped by the Kurjans, experimented on and was rescued by the vampires. Because of the experimentation, she remembered nothing about her life before ten years ago. Now living with the vampires, the king ask her to investigate a drug tampering for the shifters and since the king of vampire provided protection for her and she owed him. Now she must rejoin her own kind and meet Terrent.. again.
Terrent is the head of the council. He knows Maggie very well... she's his mate. The past years have been hell for him. He continued to fight demons and Kurjans while hoping Maggie will remember him. Now Maggie has returned to their pack and he'll do anything to have his mate back!
I honestly just requested this book because of the damn
cover. (Shoot me, I'm a cover hoe!)
This is my first time reading from this author and noticed Twisted was a continuation of the Dark Protector Series (which I haven't
read yet!) I was at the mall yesterday waiting for my friends, so I thought... why not read a few chapters just to kill time but boy was I wrong! I couldn't put the book down! It.was.that.good!
At first it was quite overwhelming with all the talk about Vampire
king, the broken Jase, demons, werewolves and Kurjans but through out
the book, I got it because Twisted is more focused on Maggie and Terrent.
“Do you love me?”
She clutched his arms as he swept her into the night.
“Yes... I love you.”
He tucked her close. “I’ve loved you for eleven years . . . and the last ten have been hell.
No more distance, I promise”
Maggie is a strong heroine despite of her memory lost she fight for what she believes in. It was interesting to see Maggie learn to trust him. Terrent on the other hand has this all Alpha attitude.. Sexy, Demanding and Possessive. The way he makes love to her.. when he ripped her shirts... the way he growled and command her was so darn sexy!! Since Maggie cannot remember him, he was insecure about the relationship which I find very cute!
This is a novella so its pretty short.. too short that I was craving for more!
But other than that, Twisted is a very hot enjoyable read.... and yes I would read more from this series!!
I'm hoping the next book would be Jase.. pretty please! :)
