Ryder by Chantal Fernando & Dawn Martens
Series: Resisting Love #2.5
Genres: Contemporary Romance, New Adult
Publication Date: Jun 30, 2013
My Rating: ♥♥♥♥
Ryder Crawford is going places. His band ‘Morning Alliance,’ has just gotten signed, and are now touring with one of the most popular bands in the world. When he meets Lexi Raine, the timing couldn’t have been worse. But like they say, love finds you when you aren’t looking for it. The stunning blonde manages to turn his world upside down, through the fierce connection they share. When Ryder is given the choice between the past and present, he is forced to choose between his career, and a woman he has felt something for like no other. Will he make the right choice? Or spend the rest of his life living with regret?

Lexi is all alone in the world, besides her best friend and partner in crime Tee. After traveling around the world, drifting from place to place, she tries to settle down in Perth, the place she grew up in. When she meets Ryder, he seems almost too good to be true. What happens when she finds out that when things seem too good to be true, they usually are?

My Thoughts

I was so excited to finally read RYDER!

I'm a big fan of RESISTING SERIES and I would like to say thank you to the authors for writing a novella for RYDER. I have a sort of love/hate relationship with short books but despite it being a novella, reading Ryder's story was a treat for me!

We saw a few glimpsed of him in Chase and Kade's book and I got interested from there on. Ryder is a bad ass guitarist and a player, but what I find adorable is that he's loyal, protective and loving specially when it comes to his family!

I'm just giving this a 4 star because as everyone mentioned, it's too darn short! I liked Ryder but did not fall in love with him... I wanted to.. but the story just didn't do any justice on him. I didn't feel the BAM! that I felt with the other books in this series. Don't get me wrong, I'm not disappointed or anything (just wished it was longer! hehe!)

Ryder is a short story but it's well written with a hot possessive hero, likeable heroine and a surprise twist at the end! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!

NOW I CANNOT WAIT FOR JAMES BOOK! ^_^
