My Rating: ♥♥♥♥
Lady Vivian Worth knows perfectly well how to behave like a lady. But observing proper manners when no one is around to impress is just plain silly. When Luke Forest, the newly named Duke of Foxhaven, arrives early to visit his bride-to-be, he catches Vivian acting most unladylike—in her chemise.
Though amused by her unconventional ways, Luke hadn't planned on marrying such a sprightly and opinionated lady. He'll just have to find her another husband. But can he stand to see the vivacious woman in the arms of someone else?
My Thoughts
“You- you heard me the first time, Your Grace. You already know the answer.”
He wrapped her in his arms, holding her tightly.
“God help me, but I know nothing when you are close.”
His breath whispered across her lips and then his mouth came down on hers.
Luke is not happy with his arranged marriage to Vivian and was hoping she's feels the same way to break their engagement. But little did he know that Vivian is not against it rather finds it necessary to save her reputation. Luke decided to find her another match, but later on he wants her for himself. ^_^
I love reading arranged marriage and it was refreshing to read a reluctant hero. Vivian and Luke are likeable characters. Vivian is strong and funny. It was entertaining to see them together specially when Luke was trying really hard not to fall for Vivian.
This is a fast paced story and dialogue was witty! Over all I fairly enjoyed their story and highly recommend this!
I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
